Did you ever have the funny feeling that you are not in the right place or in the right epoch ? As if you are out of sync with the present ? This was my impression when I visited the Bethpage historical village, close to New-York on Long Island .
In this village, many people dress in period costume and do the typical work of the early 19 century.
When I arrived in this village, I was expecting to see Charles Ingals from " The little house on the prairie" at any minute.You can watch the hatter, the weaver, the seamstress - A microcosm of a pre civil war life.For the History lovers and for children, it's a wonderful journey into the past.
